President's Letter
Submitted By Sonya Arent on Tuesday, April 4, 2017
Another successful hockey season has officially come to end here in Wallace.  For many the hockey equipment has been aired out and skates retired for another season.  Although we are a small centre, we are just as passionate about hockey.  We pride ourselves in providing a safe and fun environment for our young skaters to develop not only individual skills, but the skills needed to be part of a team.

Behind the scenes, our on and off ice volunteers work hard to create the foundation for our hockey community.  Take some time to consider the commitment that our volunteers put into our hockey program and thank them for their continued efforts. We are fortunate once again to have our season sponsored by Fischer Family Poultry.  This generous donation along with Fun Days Tournament allows us to provide free registration for all of our skaters.  Thank you so very much!

Since joining the executive board 5 years ago, I have seen our program continue to grow year after year.  With any growth comes change.  This upcoming season will see many of our long-term volunteers move on to another centre.  Therefore, we will have several positions available both on and off the ice, as well as on our executive board.  If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know.  Our program is only successful as the foundation of its volunteers.

Thank you for the opportunity as President for these last three years, it has been a pleasure to be part of Wallace Minor Hockey.

I hope to see you around the rink next season!

Alisia Williams
