Tyke, 2018-2019 (WALLACE MINOR HOCKEY)

     The Sabres continued their impressive season with 3 more strong outings at Steve Kerr Memorial this weekend at the 34th Annual Wallace Fun Days.  They used 3 different goalies in as many games and still came away with victories.          

The Sabres game times at Steve Kerr Memorial are as follows: 1) Thurs Jan 10th @ 5:50 pm vs Listowel Red 2) Sat Jan 12th @ 3:20 pm vs Seaforth 3) Sun Jan 13th @ 8:00 am vs. Central Perth    The team meal will be on Saturday after our 3:20 game.  A reminder to those that have not signed up yet for volunteer jobs, please do so (or see one of the executive for more details).

The Tykes had a big day in Palmerston on Saturday with every player finding the scoresheet by either recording at least 1 goal or 1 assist.  Not many teams can say that after a game! Jaron made several poke-check saves; the Forwards were in good position for rebounds in front of the opposing net; and the Defense made some nice shots from the point and won puck battles in their own corners.  The Sabres are passing the puck better and are starting to work as a team.  Keep listening to your coaches!     

     The Tykes improved to 4-0 on the season as they hosted Listowel Thursday night in Wallace.  Several onlookers have commented on how well the kids are skating and handling the puck for their age!  A compliment to the organization's commitment to young player development.
