Mustangs drop a close one
The Mustangs traveled to Blyth and skated to a 2-1 loss. Blyth jumped out to a 2 goal lead after one period but the Mustangs had plenty of chances to score. After a scoreless 2nd period the Mustangs came on hard in the third period and cut the lead to one.
Carly Kreller came in on a break away with 5 minutes to play and hammered home the rebound. The Mustangs had many chances in the last few minutes but could not bury the tieing goal.
Shelby Foster again had a great game in net and our Defense playing short handed played excellent. The forwards got many chances and we are looking forward to the rematch next Saturday.
